Chris Walker joined globalCOAL in 2010 as Market Manager. Based in Singapore, Chris is a point of contact for globalCOAL’s clients in Asia and is in charge of establishing new products and markets in the region. His focus is on developing globalCOAL’s bespoke brokerage service, particularly for the Indonesian market. Prior to joining globalCOAL, Chris worked at JL Group Pte Ltd, in both trading and project management. JL Group Pte Ltd is a private investment vehicle with interests in several mine concessions in East Kalimantan and Sumatra. His role was to attract foreign investment to the mines and to market coal from the company’s sources in Indonesia. Before moving to Asia, Chris was employed in investment banking in his native Australia.
